Icon Yachts is a leading Dutch yacht builder in the most luxurious segment of custom mega yachts. The company has a 150-meter dry dock and a ship elevator with a lifting capacity of 4,500 tons. With a fresh approach to new construction, conversion and refit projects with associated engineering techniques, the company is progressive, flexible and customer-oriented.
Icon has developed a different construction concept where the technical design of the yachts is fully worked out in advance and the client only has to determine the styling and interior. This new concept requires structurally solid solutions for complex construction and administrative processes, tailored to yacht building. This is why Icon Yachts chose our Shipyard module (now ShipVision 365) in 2007. Our standard solution for yacht building and shipbuilding based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly Navision).
Icon Yachts' ideas turned out to be a good fit with the principles behind our software solution. There was quickly a functional click between Icon Yachts and Logic Vision.
There is definitely a functional click between Icon Yachts and Logic Vision. At the time, there was great pressure to get the organization up and running quickly and completely, and the company was busy getting production location and staffing in place. Parallel to this hectic period, the project administration and the financial administration also had to be set up and made operational.
